The ALS Association, Greater New York Chapter is a co-sponsor with the Columbia University Medical Center of an ALS Association Program. Located at 710 West 168th Street, NY, NY, the Columbia University Medical Center brings quality care to patients in Manhattan.
Geared toward helping patients live more productively and independently, the Center provides a coordinated program of medical treatment, rehabilitation techniques and psychological support in a warm and compassionate environment. Comprehensive assessments, diagnostic and follow-up testing, education and treatment are individualized for each patient.
Dr. Neil Shneider, Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Neuromuscular Division, heads the multidisciplinary treatment team that includes doctors Matthew Harms, MD, Jinsy Andrews, MD, MSc, Ikjae Lee, MD and Neurology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work and Nutrition/Dietician professionals.
